Meet Murron!
Murron (mare-in) is an Advanced Clinical Student Clinician at NECOA, and is the Coordinator for the Intensive Outpatient Program here at the clinic. They originally grew up in central Ohio and completed their undergraduate program in Psychology and Gender and Women’s Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Prior to their work at NECOA, they worked at both McLean Hospital’s OCDI Jr. and CBTeam. They currently conduct research related to young adult mental health experiences at UMass Medical School and are about to graduate with their MSW from Boston University.
Murron particularly enjoys working with members of the queer community and incorporating aspects of nerd and superhero therapy into their sessions – at the 2022 OCD Conference, they conducted a group for middle schoolers on using superheroes to help tackle OCD! Murron is also regularly joined in sessions by their therapy dog, Ogie.
In their spare time, Murron enjoys reading, writing, cooking, going to concerts, and planning their next tattoo.
