Service Description

This I-CBT training is a 2-session, live, online, didactic course for clinicians looking to expand their toolbox for treating OCD and related disorders. I-CBT is a cognitive-behavioral intervention developed by Kieron O'Connor and Frederick Aardema. This training, based on their work, is a complete walkthrough of all 12 modules of treatment. 8 CEs for psychologists, BCBAs, ASWB, and NBCC available Session 1: Inferential Confusion, Obsessional Doubting Sequence, Logic and Reasoning in OCD, Storytelling in OCD, Feared Possible Self, Real Self Session 2: Reasonable Vs. Obsessional Doubt, Possibility is Irrelevant, The OCD Bubble, The Alternative Story, Reality Sensing, Relapse Prevention Intended Audience: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Clinicians After this course, participants will be able to -Explain at least two ways Inference-based CBT differs from Exposure and Response Prevention -Apply knowledge of Inference-based CBT to case conceptualization. -Explain the inferential confusion process. -Describe at least one key learning point in each of the twelve modules of Inference-based CBT. -Identify three tricks of OCD according to Inference-based CBT -Name the treatment target of Inference-based CBT -Identify the three components of obsessional reasoning -Explain how obsessional doubts differ from reasonable (non-obsessional doubts) Course Instructors: Gina Abbondante, LCSW, Bronwyn Shroyer, LCSW and Katie Marrotte, LCSW are the founders of the OCD Training School, an online training database for OCD and related disorders.
