This online 4-session case consultation group will be led by Dr. Evelyn Gould and will focus on case conceptualization and effective use of exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and behavior analysis for clients who have OCD and who are also on the autism spectrum. Dates: Feb 18th, March 4th, March 18th, April 1st - biweekly, Friday, 60mins per session, 9-10am PST / 12-1pm EST. Course Requirements: This group is ideal for those who have already completed our "ERP 11" and/or "ERP Special Topics: Autism" classes, or who already have a solid foundation of knowledge in Autism and OCD. This is a case consultation group and participants are expected to be currently working with Autistic or Neurodiverse clients with OCD/anxiety. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom and will be recorded for those who cannot attend live, however, the goal of the group is for attendees to receive individual feedback and opportunities to discuss current cases, so attending live is preferable. Learning Objectives: After this consultation series, participants will be able to 1. Identify and discuss the importance of evidence-based functional assessment procedures for OCD and related conditions in Autistic/Neurodiverse children and adults 2. Identify key developmental and other contextual considerations when assessing, designing and implementing OCD treatment with individuals on the Autism Spectrum 3. Identify and develop treatment adaptations tailored to each individual’s unique learning history and context. 4. Identify the benefits of combining traditional behavioral treatment strategies with ACT and ERP to foster flexibility and growth in clients There are a number of scholarship or "pay-what-you-can" slots available for practitioners who belong to or serve marginalized communities.
