Service Description

This 8-session consultation group for 3 clinicians will focus on skillful application of ACT as a process-based treatment. Emphasis will be on use of the therapeutic relationship as an intervention, shaping curiosity, willingness, flexibility, and valued behavior, values articulation and discovery, and generalization. We will also address clinicians' barriers to being fully present in session, taking bold risks, and leaning into trial and error learning. Clinicians are expected to present cases and provide constructive support on each others' cases. Teaching modalities involve discussion, experiential exercises, and role-/real-plays. Course Dates/Times: Thursdays, 1-2PM, 9/15, 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/3, 12/8, 12/22, 1/5 Intended Audience: Intermediate and Advanced Clinicians. Participants will be expected to be comfortable with ACT and familiar with the DNA-V model and to use these approaches regularly in practice. This is not for clinicians new to ACT.
