COVID-19

August 7, 2022

To our valued clients at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety Boston (NECOA Boston):

In consideration of our clients' needs and the evolving public health risks related to coronavirus (COVID-19), the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety Boston has made the decision that we will conduct psychotherapy sessions both through HIPAA-secure videoconference and/or in-person meetings, per client preference.  We require clients to wear masks in our common spaces and encourage wearing masks during in-person sessions. If you would like more information about this, please contact our Clinic Manager, Kerry O'Donnell, at info@newenglandocd.org.

At NECOA Boston, we understand that there are many unknowns about COVID-19. As a team of providers, we aim to be consistent with public health goals around client safety.  As recent research on telepsychology (psychotherapy via teleconference) has shown that telepsychology is generally as helpful as its in-person equivalent, we believe that our continued use of telepsychology at this time will be a way to protect individual and public health that should also support good treatment progress and outcomes.

May you be well. May you and your family be safe and healthy.
