Meet Kristyne!

Kristyne Ramirez, B.A., is a Behavioral Specialist and the Clinic Coordinator at the New England Center for OCD and Anxiety New York. She completed her undergraduate studies at SUNY College at Old Westbury with a major in Psychology and a minor in Community Action Psychology. Shortly after graduation, she happily accepted the offered position as one of the first Behavioral Specialists at the NECOA NY location. Soon after this, she took the additional title of Clinic Coordinator. Prior to her time at NECOA NY, she worked as a Behavioral Technician and as a Teaching Assistant for children on the Autism Spectrum. She utilizes her foundation in Behavioral Analysis, paired with Exposure Response Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help coach clients towards their life goals. Kristyne is passionate about providing trauma-informed care to those in need, the importance of lived experience and representation in the mental health field, destigmatizing mental health, and utilizing art as a therapeutic outlet. She is also in the process of obtaining her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling!

When she is not working, she enjoys ceramics and spending time with her family and friends, especially on nature walks or exploring new food eateries. You can also catch her exercising, building a neat Lego set, or reading a good thriller or science fiction book!
