Meet Grace!

Grace Hommel, LCSW, grew up in Connecticut and is a clinical social worker at NECOA. After completing her undergraduate studies at Syracuse University, she went on to work in clinical research at Yale University, where she managed a research lab in the Child Study Center for children and adolescents with anxiety. After four wonderful years, Grace began the Master of Social Work Program at Boston University where she completed her training as a clinical social worker. During her time at BU, Grace worked in a therapeutic school for adolescents with anxiety-related disorders, and at Boston Medical Center treating victims of community violence.

Grace’s passion is treating children, adolescents and families who suffer from anxiety and related disorders, such as OCD. She also enjoys working with parents to provide guidance and skills for addressing childhood anxiety. Grace incorporates authenticity, empathy and collaboration into her therapeutic relationships.

In her free time, Grace enjoys trying new recipes (and places!), reading fiction and spending time with friends and family.
